Senior Manager Pet Innovation Alternative Distribution - Ecommerce & Direct to Consumer

We are creating a start-up culture within an $8B CPG and that requires marketing leaders that are driven to build and launch new businesses and seek a career in innovation. In this newly created role, Senior Manager Pet Innovation, Alternative channels of Distribution, have the opportunity to significantly impact/define the strategy for the Pet Innovation strategic business unit that aligns to the Company's overall vision. In this role, you will lead a tiered, flexible innovation process that is both disciplined and entrepreneurial, responsibly balancing risk and return to the company. Alongside a dynamic cross-functional team, you will lead a portfolio of product ideas through the innovation process to launch. The Senior Manager of Pet Innovation is a general management role and the right applicant will be able to have a career solely within innovation to an executive level or transition to Marketing/General Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Innovation Leadership team to ensure innovation is aligned with the Pet Business Unit's business and brand strategy Develop and validate concepts supported by strategic category/consumer insights that deliver on key consumer needs and align to the brand strategy
Develop a robust pipeline of disruptive innovation that drives incremental and profitable growth. Provide thought leadership to inspire greatness, divergent thinking, and ongoing inspiration for business building platforms for sustained growth
Lead a diverse, cross-functional best in class team who will be responsible for shepherding platforms and product concepts through the innovation process, considering strategic, consumer, technical and business viability
Lead with a blend of disciplined management practices with entrepreneurial behavior, skills, and mindset to make intuitive strategic decision while appropriately managing uncertainty, risk and Management expectations
Represent Innovation with multiple stakeholders including Brand Marketing, Research & Development, Operations Finance and Customers
Align and Influence leadership to make optimal prioritization and commercialization decisions
Manage the innovation metrics that support overall profitability
Assist in building internal innovation capabilities and help to shape a culture of creativity and innovating thinking across the organization
Manage a small team of innovation professionals to meet innovation goals
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Experience
8 + years of experience in Brand Management or New Product Development; a focus on Ecommerce and Direct to Consumer Distribution is a plus
Marketing experience with proven innovation success; new product development, creation of new business models, start-up experience or entrepreneurial ventures
Understanding and application of consumer/category insights to drive effective innovation
Proven experience in innovation project management - proposes and executes plans that add value and create competitive advantage based on knowledge of how the business works
Experience launching multiple new products; one or more major product, inception to launch
Strong analytical capability and ability to lead / influence a cross functional team
People management experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
