Brand Manager - Coffee Equipment & Equipment Innovation

TITLE                             Brand Manager - Coffee Equipment & Equipment Innovation LOCATION Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Akron/Cleveland) REPORTS TO Director, Marketing POSITION SUMMARY The Brand Manager - Coffee Equipment & Equipment Innovation leads the effort to develop and implement beverage dispensing equipment innovation within both the Select Brew on-demand coffee brand we well as external bean-to-cup OEMs. Key activities extend around operator and consumer research, strategic thought leadership, creative problem solving, data analysis as well as operational support in conjunction with the Equipment & Service team. Further, this role will be expected to partake in SBA strategic planning and assist with additional strategic brand projects as required. This role has a direct report that assists with general category marketing projects KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Execute Equipment Innovation Pipeline Develops launch and communication plans for new equipment models in coordination with Channel Marketing team and Sales.  Steers innovation projects through internal stage gate launch process including budget management and vetting operational support needs.  Validates equipment and key features through consumer and operator research in coordination with R&D and Insights team. Develops and executes go-to-market plan for externally manufactured bean-to-cup equipment. Creates long term innovation roadmap in consideration of financial and operational constraints. Collaborates with JMS corporate Innovation Teams and retail Marketing teams. Develop and Execute Innovation Learning Plan Leads R&D and Insights team in white space innovation research including exploration of "jobs to be done" and operator need state analysis. Explores breakthrough innovation opportunities to retain and grow category leadership in on-demand coffee.  Beverage Category ProjectLeadership Provides leadership around Beverage specific projects in support of the base business. Works to build consistent capabilities and process across Brand Manager roles. Plays a key role in preparing Situation Assessment for annual planning by working with Brand and Channel Teams, R&D, and Equipment & Service. P/L understanding & experience. SELECTION CRITERIA Education Four-year undergraduate degree, with a Marketing focus.  MBA a plus  Experience 6+ years relatable experience in Foodservice marketing, CPG marketing in food, beverage, or equipment Other Consumer / Operator / Consumer Marketing Mindset - Demonstrates an understanding of the similarities and differences for consumer and operator targets.  Passion for innovation and a keen sense for developing business cases.  Embraces and synthesizes consumer, industry, and competitive trends and leverages learnings to bring new ideas to the organization Strategic Thinking but Comfortable with Ambiguity - Demonstrates decision making ability without the benefit of robust data.  Must be able to adapt to changing competitive, consumer, and supplier environments. Project Management & Cross Functional Initiative Leadership - Demonstrates strong organizational skills including ability to translate various inputs into clear and logical terms to be grasped by cross-functional teams and executive leadership. Creative Thinking - Possesses a desire for breakthrough thinking that challenges the status quo while also understanding consumer, operator, or company barriers.  Must have the ability to push beyond the team beyond their comfort zone. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
